Roses and Rainbows

Look at me!  I'm blogging!  Wheeeeee!

I know, I know.  I haven't shared a session in a while.  But my goal now that the kiddos are going to be heading back to school (the youngest minion is now going to be going FULL time!) is to actually get back on the wagon and start sharing.

I was so lucky to be able to do this session for a dear dear friend of mine.  I was so excited when she called me and told me she had finally delivered and we set up a time for her newborn session.  We had been talking about this for a long while, and she knew exactly what she wanted for this session.

This was an incredibly touching session for me, because this Mama was so incredibly happy to have her little one.  She and her husband had been trying to conceive for quite a while, and had more than their fair share of bumps along the way.  So we wanted to do something to commemorate not only their newest addition, but the losses, the love and the sorrow, that came before her.  Many people refer to a baby conceived after a loss as a "rainbow baby" and so we of course had to feature some soft rainbow elements in this session.

And since baby girl's name is Rose, I couldn't resist bringing some pink roses and creating just a few images with them as well.
